In Loving Memory..

I had in plans to plenty other posts, since it was a busy week, from testing The Secret World, to Day-Z mod for ARMAII to trying APB: Reloaded.

But apart from my amazing ability of being ubber lazy, this jumped as a priority.

As an animal lover, cat owner and friend, when I heard from Lita that her cat Tanya wasn't looking nor feeling well I got worried, even more when later told it was something serious... however the shock came much later.

Tanya was no longer amongst us.

Despite the distance ( though I blame the stealthy ninjas cutting onions.. ) .. I couldn't stop myself from crying, not just for the loss of a friend, but the consequences it brought with it.
So.. this is my way to pay tribute to Lita's lil'Tanya ..

                                                         In Loving Memory of Tanya

May you rest in absolute peace and be where you'll never run out of fluffy and squeaky toys .. comfy blankets.. or even games you seemed to enjoy alot.

You'll forever remain loved and never forgotten.

Gaming: Tera part3 TCH!

Some might call me old fashioned, but I'm from a time where you gained more from being polite and generally calm with people.

Why I say this?

While I have a short fused temper, I do remember that most of the times, the people I'm contacting regarding a service, usually are peons that were scouted for the job of taking calls and reading tickets and were/are not directly involved with the product.

But, with Tera, being polite, cordial, understanding .. clearly all it got me, was being played around like a moron, thrown sand in my eyes in the form of crudely made excuses and over a week of no answers and no problem solved.
So .. I had all I could take and took the route I didn't want to.

After possibly having made a peon from live chat cry and shutdown the conversation window because he couldn't handle me anymore, and no, I didn't attacked him directly but I may have told the ruth in a very brute way ...
One very angry ticket with some swearing and menaces ... not 15 mins later, one tells me that he went to check my account and I was infact entitled to a month. ( Well no fucking shit! ) So, my month was given and 2 extra days .. yay..

                                                                          ( fitting ...)

Did not went without a reply that that its that sort of complete show of incompetence and unwillingness to come straight with paying customers that ruins good products, and if it wasnt for the fact I liked the game .. I'd tell ppl at frogster to shove the game deep in their asses till they coughed up everyone's money, and if they were to offer to refund me and keep the game to themselves .. I'd choose the refund without a second of hesitance.

But well .. problem is at least solved. Though if an of them wants a cookie, I'm all out ... and I'm not impressed with the fact it took a bit of someone's time to do something it should've been done A WEEK FUCKING AGO. Now to decide wether or not I'll resume playing.

Though for now it's in limbo, as I have work to resume and whatnot.

Gaming: Tera - part2 woo f'ing hoo

It's amazing how I managed to make an extra post about Tera,

While for no fault of the game whatsoever, i still say it's a brilliant one at it. Fact is .. no matter how good a product is, if the service not only is horrible, but it mocks and makes a fool out of you .. what suffers in the end is the product itself.

Tera, sadly is one of those examples thanks to Frogster.

Not only they can manage the game properly, can't fix problems with certain areas, but to add insult to injury, many gamers like myself are experiencing a problem with an error that states the game time has been exhasted. Which means your game time is over.

While at the beginning of this problem, some were understanding, since no game comes without some errors. To some has gone over more than one week, some reaching even so far as 3 weeks with no answers. Apparantely their database does not aknowledge you bought the game, which comes with 1 month, that we're not getting.

With me particularly, it's been over a week of no straight answers as to why I can't play the game other than the typical, we're passing your issue to our collegues, after that ... not another word was heard of.
Got even to the point where my support account was blocked so I couldn't contact them further more. And yes, they done this to others aswell.

In a way, I wish I could just shrug it off and remember I trully enjoyed Tera .. but alas, Frogster managed to whip that out of me and if I could get a refund for the 50€ I spent on a product Im not getting would be the best news of the day.

Either way ... best I finish ranting, uninstall the game, and immerse myself in something else in order to forget I metaphorically sat money on fire and then procceeded to toss it down a shredded drain.

Gaming: Tera .. *sigh*

Yeah .. despite I havent posted at all lately, the subject I'm gonna start is none other than .. Tera Online.

I recently bought this game, I played the beta and seemed a bit confusing at first but wasn't exactly a bad thing.
I'd say .. Tera IS a bit tricky at the beginning, but you easily pick up the movements fast enough (imo anyway).

The first thing that pop up when you explore the Island of Dawn, is the scenario. Breath-taking environment, even with graphics a bit low.

I even got to see Lita's char, which looks amazing next to my High Elfling *chuckles*

Yes! We were discussing the armor in this game, which we still say its a game from dudes to dudes, considering how so underdressed ALL females races are, regradless of whatever class one picks. But alas ... guess us girls have to endure through this, considering the majority of gamers are male, so it's no surprise that the companies aim mostly to them.
And don't give us the .. oh but you get the prissy fancy males. You'll have to excuse us, but no, we do not like men that look like or better than women.

But I'm sidetracking. *coughs*

Something I trully enjoy about the game aside of the scenarios, is the combat system. It actually manages you to keep you from being bored, and in some classes you actually DO have to pay attention, its pretty much a game where if you're hit in some classes, it's eiher cuz you wanted to ..

I'm still shocked at a Lancer asking for help to kill a mob .. when they are the tanks of the game. Why was he having problems? He never rose the shield .. not ONCE!

The pegasus is NOT a mount! It's actually the means of travelling in flightpaths terms. The giant object where these fancy horsies fly to are portals between zones where you enter a tunnel hyperspeed like! Fancy stuff.

Your first mount, acquired once you get to lev11, is actually free. You receive it from a quest you deliver in Velika.

In short, been a game I've actually have enjoyed playing.
At least till a problem emerged. Apparantely I bought a trial game for 50€.... quite an expensive trial if you ask me. All because ( and thanks to Demonsz ):

What is Error: 0104:0000?
The error is caused when users who are playing the trial version of TERA attempt to upgrade to full version. Users will experience this fault even if purchased directly from Frogster using a secure payment firm such as Paypal. The server does not recognize that you have purchased the game and does not provide the 30 days subscription time. During this period your account will show as 'ACTIVE' and will display a valid subscription end date in the 'Account Management' section, but you will not have access to your account.

Why are there more and more users experiencing this problem?
The TERA trial period lasts for 7 days, therefore every day users who upgraded 7 days ago to full subscripton will recieve the error message and will be unable to play. As users are constantly starting TERA on trial accounts the issue will continuously get worse as time passes

.......

Oh well ..

Let's see how this goes...
