 Hmm.. reasons why I dont check my Facebook as much lately?

 I have but one thing to do there ^^’ Restaurant City but honestly, the one thing you get to do there is decorate the place and dress your employees up ^^’ gets a tad boring..

 Don’t take me wrong, I played alot of game throughout the time I’ve been on Facebook, since Mafia Wars, Restaurant City, Nightclub, even tiny games from Squaresoft ^^ as fun as they are for a while, they become boring.

 Game some good ideas for characters that I won’t use ^^

 Chars I do use, is like this one. Kay’la Stormshatter.

 A Tauren hunter. That as child was hilarious to RP with due to her being extremely naive, innocent and all together curious.

 

 Buwataaaaafy! ( drawn on OC4.5Plus with Wacom Bamboo )

 Though not really detailed or even remotely finished, this is Kay’la as a calf. The idea came after a chat about she being left under the care of Gorgos, a mighty orc warrior. During this time, tiny Kay’la would be wandering around like always, getting in trouble without even realizing due to Gorg keeping a close eye on her.

 At the end of the day, with her parents returning to find the calf deep asleep with her bear Misun. When asked how things went, Gorg simply replying it was easy only to bid farewell and slumping by a nearest tree to fall asleep aswell.

 Taking care of a curious calf is no easy business. ^^

 Some have plushies given by parents or friends, Kay’la has a real life white fur bear named Misun ( means “little brother” in Lakota ) the two become inseperable friends, one goes nowhere without the other.

 Kay’la grows to become a full fledged Wild ranger, with the ability to talk with Spirit Beasts, has eyes that miss nothing and track practically everything. The only thing about her is that she refuses to use guns, prefering her bow.

 On other notes, still waiting for things to get 100% fixed so I can go back to work on the comic XD and need something to fix this blockage I has.. >_>

 D’aaaw.. what a gloomy weather outside.. rainy.. oh, “thinking” outloud.

 To the point, I’m still impressed with the damage a power surge can cause, of the energy it comes up with. Which lead to a conversation with Ric about the subject and that some scientist are trying to do what I mention.

 Which was “What if one could store the energy that comes when lightning strikes or power surges?” That’s apparantely being studied, the only thing is that it seems it’s too much energy to be stored. That doesn’t mean I can’t dream and rambling that if scientists can play gods while trying to create a blackhole, why can’t they come up with something that harvests the power from lightnings or power surges?

 I mean.. have we gone really so far we created special types of plugs/extensions that prevent your tech devices from these things?

 

 Since young I’ve always been fascinated by lightnings, there was no time with thunderstorms I wouldn’t hear my mom saying “Stay away from the window!” it was always stronger than me, and I still love to see how lightnings decorate the sky.

 Don’t take me wrong though, I love thunderstorms as much as I respect them. I’m well aware of the power it possesses.

 What I ain’t impressed with, it’s the attitude and productivity of power companies.

 So.. a house is affected by a power surge due to a problem in the box, company admits fault, but you’re the one that has to have the work of doing an inventory of damaged property, sending over to a specific branch to be analyzed. Because it’s not really their responsibility to send someone over!

 Oh well … still trying to get things on track. Turns out the power surge might have done some harm to my computer afterall by messing with the motherboard, at least according to Ric’s theory, onboard network and sound cards are functional, but network would lose signal for a split second but was enough to disconnect everything net related … and the sound entrance was extremely sensitive I had everynow and then to nudge the cable from the speakers.

 Now these two issues seem to be fixed.. for now, with two new pieces. Now just missing the TV issues and my scanner.

Warcraft moment

Who hasn’t stumbled on silly moments in WoW?

Of course I also got answers like “You live the game a tad too much..” Even if I do..  Care much? I love the game so ^^

I won’t be talking about them all, but at least two that made me giggle.

WTF Moment#1 : My armor outgrew me!!!

 

 Tauren are big sure, but not THAT big XD And no, it’s not my armor hehe I just happended to stand on the breastplate left by the mob and I couldn’t resist taking a screenshot after going Oo and laughing cuz then my tauren warrior was standing on the same place as the oversized breastplate and facing me ^^’

 Yes, as a tank I often have the camera in this way so I can see if something happens to the party, especially my healer.

 WTF Moment#2 RUN! Its the killer rabbit!

 Yes… that rabbit is holding a axe in its mouth…. and was a tad bigger than others too.

 I was on my kodo going from Mulgore over to Stonetalon, using the Grimtotem’s pathway over, when I got to the top there were alot of critters around. Suddenly I saw a rabbit consideraly bigger and with something on its mouth.

 My first idea was, do rabbits now hunt prarie dogs like wolves hunt rabbits and some other animals you see hunting others? What was my surprise when I chased him to see what it was and find its a rabbit…. with an AXE! …

 ^^’

 Other than that.. been trying to get Anzu on my druid ( in Ravenholdt ) for a long while now, haven’t had the luck. Yeah, I’m actually farming something, not something I’d usually do I know.. but I’m finding myself trying to stay ingame ^^

 So.. on Argent Dawn, I have a lev 85 warrior with secondary tank spec, even tho I don’t tank at all… but it’s a great way to farm old HCs and such. Shocking.. when I think of, hey.. let’s see if she can handle it as well as my druid! I still like druid more as feral tank tbh ^^’

 I procceeded to fix my build, buy a shield and a 1h sword and make way to Outlands. My first test run was .. Shattered Halls in normal and HC. Seeing she managed well enough, my aim was Sekketh Halls … I know I have some awfull shitty luck when it comes to stuff I usually want, I mean… it took me ages for Drakkisah to drop Wildheart vest to one of my chars.. NEVER dropped! And now it won’t cuz Blizzard decided to remove the old Tier 0 from the game T-T Shame on you…

 Well color me atonished when…

 

 Tada! *snickers* it dropped. Didn’t even knew there was an achievement for it.

 While I agree that the mount should remain rare.. for me not having to poke or bother a druid with epic flight form just to go see if I’m lucky with something so trivial as a mount, it’s a plus.

 Oh.. and my screenshot of the day will be..

 

 Caught that while swimming over to the harbor .. don’t know why… but for some reason makes me think of Final Fantasy VII .. the Canon part where one has to fight a Weapon..

 But also.. kudos to Blizzard for making something so… mechanical and made by goblins, actually look beautiful from afar thanks to the water and color of the sky in general.

Trip down work lane

 Without my scanner properly workking I see myself with some extra time, which enables my slackyness even more.

 I’ve cleaned up my desk and organized my sketchbooks.. pens and pencils.. rulers.. even how to draw books (maybe one day I’ll take a screenie of da work place), which elad to stumbling on folders with some old works.

 My very first stumble on arts was of course as child, I mean, who doesn’t paint in kindergarden? *giggles* My mom actually saved my sloppy paintings from then. But these aren’t those hehe.

 I got back in drawing again around highschool, where friends got me to draw chars from dragon Ball and anime from that time. So basicly most of my drawings of that time are fanart from Dragon Ball .. Sailor Moon.. some were ideas, but after a while I saw myself being surrounded with people that seemed to always find my chillout spots where I’d be drawing.

 My nickname Drisse was born then ^^ I jokingly say its a funny shorten version of my name, Patrícia, after you distorce the sound from Tríc in Patrícia and you get Drisse. ( Pronounced as Drees - se )

 As good as those times were… was also a time I changed due to family problems and because one bad thing never comes alone.. became a stray and alone cat.

 

 Though I’m not gonna sob about it ^^ I got to learn from that to stand up when you fall.

 With my skills in drawing becoming better, and yes I have no shame in admiting that using references, copying and modify to your taste was a path I took and serves its porpose.

 I did alot of fanart from anime to games.

 I passed then to try and draw of my own. Speed drawing. Rough Sketches. Draw without thinking.

 Now.. I look back, at myself, at my path and think .. I could’ve done alot better, but better doesn’t always mean great in my book. You can be the master of your own field… but are you trully happy? I may not be a professional, I may not even draw for money or do an effort to, I may not be a sellout that looks at what I do and think I could score with that, but am I happy?

 My answer is … you can bet my cute latin ass that I am infact happy. ^_^

 I have dear friends who love seeing updates, who love my drawings, who actually smile and are happy when I draw something not just them but also for myself.

 I am… happy.

 Ye, I’m in for a need to vent on something/one .. mixed with nerdrage.. with a sprinkle of lack of pacience towards stupidity.

 Dont take me wrong.. I don’t see myself as a very bright person, but somethings are common sense. So.. power surge ruined some of my house electronic equipment, took a week for the cable company to “have time” to come by install new equipment due to a change of service (better service with faster speed blablabla) … so far so good.

 With new equipment one would assume everything would be finally getting on tracks. Did it? No..

 Not one hour after the new studd was delivered and plug in, the modem dies. With the power surge, my first thought it was the plugs.. but the computer and everything else was working.. *sighs* then that perhaps my room was cursed. (The thing is… if the modem doesnt work, neither does the phone.. and the cable company is clever enough to if you call them by your home phone, the call is free… but! by cellphone is charged..

 Poor Ric wasted 10€ on a sunday while talking with them .. >_>’

For something that apparantly is an issue these new modems, some seem not to be compatible with the PSUs they come with.. mine was one of them, and it took 3 PSUs till finding the right one. Amaaaaaaaaaaaaziiiiiiiing! )

 Monday they came and I was happy for the brief moment it took for the PSU to go infact poof.. which turns out it was, I tested it on a set of speakers with the same values and nothing, tested Ric’s laptop PSU modem gains life. Finally I could call them by phone then.. on a wednesday!

 This after I wasted almost 5€ of a cellphone calling them monday to ask for a repair. Yet.. no one ever came.. took Ric coming over wednesday to help and call them before I lost my temper.

 It’s finally working and all.. but I can’t help but just sigh at the lack of competence the people over the company have, I mean.. really? You tell them the PSU is dead and then ask stupid questions like if its the ethernet cable.. if its the signal wire.. NO! The PSU! The only black cable that comes with ALL of YOUR equipment! and then hearing.. PSU?.. I’m not seeing what that is..

 REALLY? I’d expect that from the answering personal, who actually knew what it was.. but from the techs? … Geez.. makes me wonder if they hire every schmuck they find on the street.

 Now I’m facing but one prob… figuring out why every now and then the signal seems to die for a second ^^ but hey.. losing net for a sec is better than a modem that doesnt work.

Ouchie in my box

Electricity is da pooooowaaaahfull n’it be all maaaaaad.

Man.. there’s alot of things one shouldn’t screw around with, power is one of them. No I didn’t stuck a finger in a plug *giggles* But I did had to manually shutdown the box .. it’s a mistery why it didn’t shut by it damn self though..

Thanks to a power spike, one of the tvs in the house practically burnt from inside out.. fried circuits mixed with plastic stiiiiiiinks!

Have to take some photos of all the damaged items and make a report >_> geez..

I couldn’t even find time to sit down and draw some cuz had to get a new cable box for the tv, change my undamaged tv to my mom’s room cuz hers died aswell.. Amidst everything, by the end of the day I had a family of headaches or stomachaches killing me.

Can’t wait for everything to get finally sorted it out so that I can return to a normal routine. >_<

 So.. game I’m actually looking forward for and trying to start to save for..

 

I already know what race I wanna play too. A female Charr! Granted I only know I wanna play the hunter like class or a healer. Yes, they’re my go to classes in well.. practically every MMO.

And they are the best of two worlds for me as they look like a mix of feline <3 with WoW’s Tauren hee hee, so yaaaaaaay meeeeee!

I don’t have a drawing yet of how I want my Charr to look like though..

The thing I’ve been loving from all the videos and stuff, is that for once it doesn’t look as sluggish as other MMO’s which is something that keeps me playing WoW still.

 Another.. is the enviromnet itself. Of course I’ll only know for sure once I get to play to test, yes, I won’t make the same mistake as I did with Aion. Was very pretty I admit it, and loved the wings.. but it’s too slow for a grind’em-up..

  And then… was this!!

 I mean… that’s a dragon you get to fight somewhat early in the game! And that’s but a minion of Elder Dragons, joked to be but a tiny mob compared to them. Best thing of all… that’s a world event that anyone can join in and the boss escalates in power and skills depending on the number of players involved.

 For me, a girl who loves dragons and all.. that boss is absolutely stunning in looks and check out the wing span of that bastard! HE’S HUGE!

 So.. yeah.. gief Guild Wars 2!!

In memory of..

 While I’m on a day where my brain seems to be working on overclocking and in need to being stabbed with a cuetip XD nah I merely jest, I love my brain and the creative drive it has.

 I take breaks everynow and then to give my right middle finger a tiny break, due a writer’s callous as I heard it being called, when I spend too much time drawing it tends to hurt a bit. On those breaks, I tend to surf the web, check some things, hop around on youtube… and I stumbled upon this old video, well… used to be a full one of a guild called Harmonia Luxurantis who did one of the best movies in Blackwing Lair I had ever seen at the time.

 I used to be one major lore geek, still am I guess, I mean… old habits never really die, and one of my favorite part, was the Red Dragonflight. I practically devoured everything it had them or at least Krasus.

 In Blackwing Lair, you get to fight… Vaelastrasz, there renamed from the Red to the Corrupt. Those who played vanilla WoW and went to Blackrock Spire could find Vael disguised at first as Orc, then he gave away his human form to the party to give a quest, at the end of this questline, you would receive a ring that not many knew of its use.

 In Upper Blackrock Spire, during the fight where Victor Nefarius AKA Nefarian is too much of a wuss to confront the adventurers and sending his minions, during the last fight, one with the ring can summon Vael to help, where he then appears in his dragon form, but is sadly captured by Nefarian.

 In Blackwing Lair… sadly.. he’s overtaken by Nefarian’s power that turns the once proud Vaelastrasz the Red.. against the good guys. Was a tough fight for me due to my passion for the lore and for the character, and I have no shame in admiting I cried when my guild killed him for the first time.

So this video brought back memories of some great times and of a lore character I still hold dear in my memory and his words when someone in the raid would die.

 ”Forgive me <insert name> .. your death only adds to my failure.”

Your death Valeastrasz.. only added to our failure aswell, if only we had been stronger to save you, but you will live on forever in our hearts and drive us to do better.
